  • November 11, 2014
    Post-Election Briefing. The Alliance will hold a post-election briefing on November 11 at 11 a.m. Some of the political colleagues of the Executive Director of the Alliance at Akin, Gump will provide their analysis of the election results and implications for Congress in 2015 and for the Presidential race in 2016. To attend, please e-mail your RSVP to Tony Curry. Note: This briefing is limited to Alliance members and is not open to the media.
    Membership Quarterly Meeting. The abovementioned briefing will be followed by a quarterly meeting of the membership of the Alliance at about 12:00 noon.

    “FDA 101: The Vital Role of the Food and Drug Administration in our Nation’s Public Health and Economy.” The Alliance for a Stronger FDA is to hold a special congressional staff briefing on Friday, October 17, 2014, in the Rayburn Office Building on Capitol Hill. For details please click here.

    Mid-Term Election Update Webinar with a Panel of Political Experts. The Alliance has coordinated an hour-long webinar at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, with Ed Pagano and James R. Tucker, Jr., two respected political experts on the staff of Akin Gump.
  • May 6 and 7, 2014
    2014 Freshman/Sophomore FDA Advocacy Week. The Alliance is planning a series of meetings with the staff of Freshman and Sophomore members of Congress. The purpose of the meetings is to provide staffers with consumer and patient groups and regulated industry perspectives on the critical importance of FDA. Alliance Members and other interested parties are encouraged to participate in the meetings.

    Membership Quarterly Meeting. The Alliance will be holding one of its quarterly membership meetings at 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., with a special guest panel featuring professional staff members of the House Energy & Commerce Committee — Clay Alspach,  Chief Health Counsel (Majority) and Dr. Eric Flamm, Professional Staff (Minority)
