House Subcommittee Proposes $285m Cut to FDA Budget
In proposed legislation for FY 12, the House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee suggested earlier today that FDA funding would be cut by $285 million from its FY 11 level of $2.457 billion. The Alliance for a Stronger FDA has issued a statement of deep concern, stating that, "FDA cannot fulfill its mission under proposed FY 12 House appropriations bill ."
