FY 12 Appropriations and FDA Meetings

Advocacy at a Glance offers you the bullet point summary of current advocacy issues associated with the goals of the Alliance for a Stronger FDA.

  • FY 12 Appropriations: House and Senate conferees agreed on a $50 million increase for FDA for FY 12.   Please click here to view the Alliance’s press release, issued on Tuesday, along with the chart of how each center did.  With the risk of a $285 million cut, we are very thankful for this increase.  FDA was one of only a small number of agencies to get an increase.

  • FDA Meetings:  Just a reminder that the Alliance plans to meet with Mike Landa, Acting Director of CFSAN, and Bernadette Dunham, Director of CVM, in separate meetings on November 30.  The purpose of these meetings is to better understand resource challenges in these important centers.  Please e-mail Anthony Curry to let him know if you would like to attend one or both of these meetings.
