  • Alliance’s Advocacy Success Featured in Washington Post.  On Thursday the Alliance was featured in a Washington Post article.  The piece, "FDA funding boosted through lobbying effort," highlights the effectiveness of the Alliance’s 180 member organization coalition and specifically highlights the Alliance’s  advertisement campaign which occurred in August at the time the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee was marking-up FY 2012 FDA funding levels.

  • FDA Center Director Meetings. This past week the Alliance held meetings with Mike Landa, Acting Director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, and Bernadette Dunham, Director of the  Center for Veterinary Medicine. The purpose of these meetings was to help the Alliance to better understand the resource challenges these centers face and how recent funding increases are being used.
