Alliance Welcomes Sustainable Food Policy Alliance as New Member

The Alliance for a Stronger FDA has this morning issued a media release welcoming the Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA) as its newest member.Ladd Wiley, the Executive Director of the Alliance for a Stronger FDA, is quoted as saying:

SFPA adds an important perspective to our existing food stakeholder membership. Working together, our combined voice will strengthen advocacy for funding the full implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act and other critical mandates.

Similarly, Brad Figel, the Vice President of Public Affairs for Mars, Inc., stated that:

The Sustainable Food Policy Alliance knows that the safety of our food products and the global supply chain in which we operate is one of the most important commitments we make to consumers. We are pleased to join hands with consumers, healthcare groups, and other food stakeholders to help make sure the FDA has the necessary resources to fulfill its food safety mission and all of its critical public health work.
