Senate HELP Committee Interviews Stephen Hahn, MD

On Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) held a hearing to consider the nomination of Stephen Hahn, MD, to serve as the next Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Senators also asked Dr. Hahn about how he would approach other important issues facing the FDA, including opioids, drug pricing, importation of unapproved drugs, cannabis and cannabis compounds, regenerative medicine, and other topics.A summary of the hearing can be found here.
