Items for when Congress returns in late August

The Alliance for a Stronger FDA will be back on August 27 with its regular Friday Update and Analysis. In the interim, Alliance staff remain available for any questions or member needs that arise.

A quick reminder that the full House of Representatives will reconvene on August 23 (rather than August 30 as previously announced) at which time it will focus on the Budget Resolution; H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act; and other matters yet to be determined. The weeks of August 30, September 6, and September 13 have been set aside for committee work in the House of Representatives.

The Senate returns to session on September 13.

In the weeks ahead we will keep you apprised of key FDA funding developments and the interplay that infrastructure, budget, reconciliation, and debt limit hold for the agency.
