Alliance Requests Early Action by All Members

On Tuesday this week, the Senate passed the FY12 Agriculture Appropriations bill with a $50 million increase for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  This is in contrast to the $285 million cut in the FY12 House-passed bill.  The House and the Senate will now move rapidly to conference.

The Alliance for a Stronger FDA is asking all of its members (and any other interested parties) to send an individual letter in support of the Senate’s higher number. Attached for your use is a document that contains information about to whom the letters should be addressed, and also provides some broad messaging. For this effort to be successful, the Alliance asks that you send such letters in by Friday of this week.
